Peoples Bank - Branches

  • Client: Peoples Bank
  • Location: Various Locations in Washington

About the project:

Peoples Bank is a family owned, community bank that focuses on providing a "higher level of service." DYKEMAN's design supports Peoples' vision through warm, inviting and customer oriented bank branches.

DYKEMAN worked with Peoples to develop an interior design concept, now implemented in over 20 branches, that uses curvilinear forms to define space and encourage movement through the space, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and dynamic in support of the customer experience. Colors, finishes and furnishings are warm, rich and comfortable, evoking a sophisticated residential appearance. Architecturally integrated signage further helps define space and make the branches easy to navigate. Typical branches range in size from 450 square feet to 4,000 square feet.

About Peoples Bank:
It was the summer of 1920 when the citizens of Lynden, Washington decided it was time for a second bank in town. 56 citizens met to organize Peoples State Bank. Upon approval from the state on December 9, 1920, the bank opened for business. In 1996, Peoples State Bank became Peoples Bank. They have expanded to include offices in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, Snohomish, King, Kitsap and Chelan/Douglas Counties.
