Peoples Bank - Ferndale

  • Client: Peoples Bank
  • Location: Ferndale, Washington

About the project:

This 2,000 square foot Peoples Bank offers two drive-up teller stations and a drive-up ATM. Teller services inside the branch include four stations to support the growing customer demand in Ferndale.

The bank reflects Lynden-based Peoples Bank’s long-term commitment to the Ferndale community. Started in 1920, family-owned Peoples Bank prides itself on its friendly, customer service oriented approach to banking services in Washington communities.

DYKEMAN has worked with Peoples Bank for the past eight years to develop an interior design concept that provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for the bank’s customers and supports Peoples Bank’s goal of providing a pleasurable banking experience. DYKEMAN’s goal at the Ferndale branch was to extend the interior concept to the exterior building design. Peoples’ signature curvilinear elements are repeated in the front facade creating a friendly and approachable building.

About Peoples Bank:
It was the summer of 1920 when the citizens of Lynden, Washington decided it was time for a second bank in town. 56 citizens met to organize Peoples State Bank. Upon approval from the state on December 9, 1920, the bank opened for business. In 1996, Peoples State Bank became Peoples Bank. They have expanded to include offices in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, Snohomish, King, Kitsap and Chelan/Douglas Counties.
