Orcas Island Residence
About the project:
This home was in the right place, in a beautiful waterfront setting. But, almost everything in and around the house was in the wrong place for the Owners to enjoy. The views were there, you just couldn't see them from most of the house. Spaces for relaxing and entertaining were also lacking.
It was clear that some rooms needed to be relocated, others expanded, and still other spaces added. The results were a more casual open plan, an enclosed courtyard, and maximized views, both across the salt water and within the courtyard.
