Coho Creek Village
About the project:
Coho Creek Village is a 60-acre site, located on the Tulalip Indian Reservation, which is owned by the Katrina Jim Corporation. The design exhibits the culture and values of the family, while sustaining the spectacular landscape and views of the site. The site features include a salmon bearing stream edged by a creek walk, an axis pointing to the mountains of the east with cultural nodes connected by moving water throughout the site.
The Master Plan provides a layout that will accommodate a Lifestyle Retail Center. The goal of the Katrina Jim Corporation is to develop a high-end and pedestrian-friendly open-air shopping and entertainment center. The site has been designed as a destination with a creek walk and meandering paths that tell a story of the Indian culture. The heart of the story is at the gathering space in the center of the site, which provides the opportunity for family members to set up kiosks and sell their traditional retail items.
The design team will be developing an on site waste water management system and a storm water infiltration system which will reduce/eliminate the on site detention needs. Overall, the site’s beauty will be preserved and it’s landscape enhanced.
