About the project:
The new Safeway store, is located on the ground floor of Avalon Meydenbauer, a six-story mixed-use housing and retail community with surface parking and two levels of underground, located in the heart of downtown Bellevue. It is a response to the new density, with pedestrian friendly design and a reflection of the transformation that downtown Bellevue has undergone. This new $20 million flagship lifestyle 50,000 square foot store replaces a 35,000 square foot Safeway across the street that opened in 1963. The store was designed to appeal to the Bellevue downtown shopper as well as for those looking for selection and value.
