TOP Food & Drug - Snohomish

  • Client: Haggen, Inc.
  • Location: Snohomish, Washington

About the project:

DYKEMAN and Schell Design Group worked closely with Haggen and the Contractor to create new department design concepts, ultimately to be used in their other Top Food stores in the Pacific Northwest.

The exterior heavy timber/sign tower design was modeled after Top Food’s existing Lake Tapps store and adapted for each location. We relocated the Produce, Bakery, Deli, Pharmacy and Fish departments, and added Bulk Candy, Chinese Kitchen, Deli Specialty Island, Housewares, Gourmet Chocolate and Food Court department – modifying the existing 67,200 square foot market.

This is the first Top Foods to have skylights/daylighting with set-back controls in the Produce, Floral, Check-stand area and Wine departments. The exterior heavy timber design was incorporated on the interiors, along with bent metal elements and stone, creating a warm and inviting experience that enhances the overall merchandising.
