Top Food & Drug
Dykeman and Schell Design Group worked closely with Haggen and the Contractor to create new department design concepts, ultimately to be used in their other Top Food stores in the Pacific Northwest.
The exterior heavy timber/sign tower design was modeled after Top Food’s existing Lake Tapps store and adapted for each location. We relocated the produce, bakery, deli, pharmacy, and fish departments, and added bulk candy, chinese kitchen, deli specialty island, housewares, gourmet chocolate, and food court departments – modifying the existing 67,200-square-foot market.
This is the first Top Foods to have skylights/daylighting with set-back controls in the produce, floral, checkstand area, and wine departments. The exterior heavy timber design was also incorporated into the interior, along with bent metal elements and stone, creating a warm and inviting experience that enhances the overall merchandising.
