Everett Public Library – Evergreen Branch

Before renovating and expanding the Everett Public Library, Dykeman worked with Everett Library’s Director to open a new branch.

Location

Everett, WA

Client

Everett Public Library

We all understood that the main downtown branch would be closed during construction, and wanted to make sure that patrons still had library access during that time.

The site was surplus City property, adjacent to a new fire station on a busy commercial street. Our Site Master Plan left room for building growth and placed the new library toward the back of the site to better buffer neighbors against traffic noise.

When the library opened, it gave patrons a glimpse into the future. Dykeman’s design team provided full architecture and interior design: site design, environmental graphics, furniture, fixtures, equipment selection, specifications, and bidding and installation services.
