Tomorrow’s Hope Child Development Center

Early Learning Center

Location

Everett, WA

Client

Housing Hope

This new facility in Forest Park will replace the current Tomorrow’s Hope location on Evergreen Ave in Everett, and will allow the organization to grow and serve a capacity of 230 children from 4 weeks to 12 years of age. Extensive programming discussions have focused on serving a uniquely vulnerable student population—children navigating the intersection of learning, trauma, and homelessness. In alignment with Housing Hope’s wraparound service model, the center will feature 14 classrooms alongside therapy rooms, motor development spaces, a kitchen, an outdoor play area, and a garden. Additional spaces will support adult education and training, as well as a large gathering area designed to host community events and foster connection. Every element of the environment is intentionally designed to promote safety, calm, and trust—ensuring that students, families, and staff feel welcomed, supported, and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Biophilic design principles are evident in the use of natural materials, forms, and ample daylighting. Additionally, the facility backs up to the Pigeon Creek Riparian Corridor and Forest Park, allowing students and other occupants plentiful views and access to nature.
